Sow hypothermia is a clinical syndrome caused by improper feeding and management, malnutrition, insufficient heat production or excessive heat dissipation.
1、 The cause of the disease mostly occurred in severe winter and early spring, and the sudden change of weather was the inducement. However, sows reared in restricted cages, cement floor, or long-term feeding with raw meal and drinking cold water were more likely to occur.
2、 Symptoms The sick pigs suddenly come on the disease. The fur is rough and thin. The body temperature drops to below 36 ℃ and the temperature drops to below 35 ℃. In severe cases, the pigs are highly depressed, slow in response, loss of appetite, difficult to get up on the ground, drowsiness, forced exercise, rapid breathing, sometimes wheezing, rapid heartbeat, dry and inelastic skin, exposed ribs, chilly and shivering, cold ears and nose, cold limbs and slow breathing The conjunctiva and tongue mucosa are pale, sometimes vomiting or salivating, and do not want to let piglets eat milk. Some stool is normal, some stool is dry, granular or diarrhea, urine volume is reduced. Pregnant sows are prone to premature delivery, weak birth or stillbirth, and empty sows delay oestrus. The course of disease was usually 7-10 days, and finally died of coma and exhaustion.
3、 The treatment should strengthen the feeding management, replenish fluid, strengthen the heart, restore the normal regulatory function of the nervous system, mainly to replenish qi and blood, and use the combination of traditional Chinese medicine and Western medicine. The disease should be diagnosed early and used correctly as soon as possible. If the body temperature is still lower than 35 ℃ and the anus is extremely loose, the treatment can be carried out according to the following prescription:
1. Western medicine therapy: ① sow with 50% glucose 120 ~ 160 ml, 400 ~ 500 mg vitamin B6, vitamin C2.5 ~ 4.0 g per 100 kg body weight, intravenous injection slowly after mixing. ② Cervical intramuscular injection of 10% annajia injection, 0.4 ml / kg intramuscular injection, once every other day, or 10% sodium Camphor Sulfonate 10 ~ 20 ml, once a day, for 3 ~ 4 days. At the same time, the appropriate amount of artificial salt and yeast can be added to the feed.
2. Traditional Chinese medicine therapy: 1) dangshen, astragalus, cinnamon, ripe aconite each 25 grams, dried ginger, Cao Guo, Forsythia suspense, roasted licorice each 15 grams, a total of fine powder, washed with boiling water, add appropriate amount of brown sugar, wait for warm perfusion. Or water 1000 ml, fire boil to 500 ml, 1 dose a day, 3 doses. ② Adenosine triphosphate was intramuscularly injected with 50-100 mg once a day for 3-5 days.
3. Adrenaline plus brown sugar therapy: according to the size of the pig's weight, take 0.1% adrenaline hydrochloride injection 8 ~ 10 ml, once intramuscular injection, 1 ~ 2 times a day, for 2 ~ 3 days. Then take 100-150 grams of brown sugar (or white sugar) and dissolve it in boiling water. After waiting for temperature, take it once or let it drink by yourself, 2-3 times a day for 3-4 days.
For the dry stool can be first with warm soap water enema, after the hard stool washed out, and then warm oral rehydration salt deep enema. For vomiting can be appropriate intramuscular injection of weifukang. Feeding and drinking water can be properly added to the decocted ginger pepper soup, in order to stimulate the body's blood circulation, help body temperature rise. It can also properly raise the temperature of pig house and pave clean and soft bedding grass. During the illness, penicillin and streptomycin were injected every day for anti infection treatment.
